Meet Dr. Lauren Mansolf

Chiropractic Chose Her

Sprouting Life Chiropractic has been a dream, finally realized for me. Being in a place of life changing miracles, empowerment, community connection – and just pure joy on a daily basis – no words can explain how grateful I am to be in this space, with the ability to impact families’ lives in immeasurable ways. This is the place I always wish I had access to when I was a child, because at the age of one, I was diagnosed with JRA, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. My parents had taken me to a number of specialists, following their “gut” that the pediatrician was missing something. When the bloodwork finally come back, they were relieved to have answers – at least we knew what it was.  Unfortunately, there were no good solutions or “fixes.” So at 13 months old, I started taking meds.  Over time, they caused digestive challenges and stomach pain, and by the time I was in high school, I was on 5 different medications – and STILL having joint pain and inflammation. I remember one night, when the pain was particularly bad, asking my mom, “Why me? Why did God make me suffer like this?” And I’ll always remember my mom’s answer, “because God knew you could handle it, be stronger than it, and help other kids who are suffering.” She will never know the impact that statement had on me and how it would shape my future.  Although I didn’t know how yet, I grew up wanting to help kids overcome their health challenges, be healthy and thrive.

I attended Birmingham Southern College, and studied Biochemistry – yep, I’m a chemistry nerd! And while I assumed I would go to medical school to pursue my goals of helping kids be healthy, something just never felt right. Thankfully, a friend recommended chiropractic school, and things finally started to make sense. It was exactly what I had been looking for!

A Passion IgnitedDr. Lauren Mansolf and her family in the woods

Sitting in my very first class at Parker College of Chiropractic, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Not one of my doctors growing up had ever explained health to me or my parents this way before. No one had ever told me that my symptoms and diagnosis could be helped without drugs; no one had ever told me my neurology was really running the show; no one had ever told me that if there was interference in the nervous system, the brain couldn’t send the correct signals to the body; and no one had EVER told me that my body was perfectly designed to heal, adapt, and overcome stress. I felt mislead by all of the professionals I had looked to for help over the years. I felt overwhelmed with all of the options to help my own body and nervous system function better. And more than anything I felt hope – that I wouldn’t have to live and struggle with this pain forever – And I knew I wasn’t the only one suffering and hopeless. I knew from that moment that I was in the right place, and I was determined to help other families like mine who never knew there was another option for health.

I came back home to Chattanooga to practice because I love the area; I grew up here, my family is here – it’s just home.  I am driven to help empower and support and heal our community – to provide hope, answers, and help. No child deserves to suffer. No family deserves to lose hope. And no community deserves to live without neurologically focused, pediatric and family chiropractic care.

Away From the Office

My husband is also a chiropractor—we attended Parker at the same time, but didn’t actually meet until we both took a job for the same company after graduating! We have four fantastic kids: Jackson is 10, Harper is 6, Ellie is 4, and Hunter is almost 2.  If you see us around town, we are probably headed to baseball practice, ballet, or softball with a carload of kids and enough snacks to survive for a week! We love to swim – we love to fish (some of us) – We love to have Friday night movie nights – and we LOVE Sunday brunch! We are also know to have a good dance party while cooking dinner from time to time! PX_Docs_Logo_V1
